First of all let me say if you are looking to book a 5* hotel, this is not the hotel for you. I don't know how they got this rating, who they paid off, if it is legitimate, but this is a 3* hotel at a push.
On arrival I went to take a nap. Took out a duvet as I was a little chilly and it was covered in blood stains. Took out the other one and it was also stained. There was lovely dead fly on my bed to greet me also.
It is located on a busy road, meaning there is a lot of traffic noise. Patchy wifi. Patchy AC.
Hotel guests have to pay to use the spa facilities. Although when I went to see the spa it was closed.
Terrible breakfast buffet.
When you have a shower the whole bathroom gets flooded.
I would never stay here again.
On a positive note the staff were all very nice.

We went to the resort for 3 days prior to leaving Rome on a cruise. What a perfect place to get acclimated to the time zone change.||Excellent food, drink, activities and views. Accommodations were very comfortable. The only slighly negative comment is that the rooms were "worn". They needed a refresh!

A week in advance we asked to move our 1 night stay anytime during summer due to a medical emergency. Needless to say the keep 100% of the hotel rate we paid in advance and they did not book another date. Great way for them to make double revenue on that room .

I tried to book the Hotel through "Connex".
After two days, they give me the information, that it's not possible to book it for the disered date.
Fine, not a big deal for us.
BUT....
after that I was calling the hotel to ask personally (it's more respectfull in my view) if they see a chance to give us a room. Also I told them, that it was through "Connex".
Surprisingly they give me the confirmation, that they have one left.
So I called the broker, to fix everything for my holidays.
After 3h, I got a mail from Alfonso, the hotel owner, telling me that nobody can remember about my conversation on the telephone, so they cancelled the booking.
All in all I've to say, that I've never seen such a bad service in case of a reservation.
And if this is just the beginning of the service-chain, I'm glad to never visit this hotel ever.
No call from the owner,
no way trying to find a solution for THEIR mistake,
just a simple note to "Connex" (these company is doing a great job).
I would recommend everyone who's interested to make a booking through them:
DO IT PER MAIL, POST or whatever.
Just to make sure, that they don't "forget" about their own words.
OR....
Search for better Hotel.
I guess, it could not be that hard to find one ;-)
